Joseph Long is one of Scotland's finest concert pianists. His extensive musical knowledge and repertoire, built up over a period of well over thirty years of playing and teaching, embrace a vast canon of music from Bach to the present day. With past recitals, lecture-recitals and masterclasses in venues as diverse as the Edinburgh Society of Musicians, St.-Martin's-in-the-Fields in London, the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatoire, the Calcutta School of Music and the University of Almeria in Spain, Joseph has experience in catering to the needs of many types of audience. | ||||||

Joseph maintains a keen interest in musical education and in the imparting of musical knowledge to others, and is a teacher of advanced piano studies at the North East of Scotland Music School and at the University of Aberdeen. He also teaches Aural, Sight-reading, Theory and Composition, as well as performing and teaching a little jazz, including arrangements of jazz standards and the composition of original jazz works. | ||||||
